HOW TO: DIY CHRISTMAS PHOTOSHOOT WITH YOUR CAT

Wanting to feature your cat in your next Christmas card but not quite sure how to convince your independent fur baby to cooperate? If I can do it, you can too!! 2020 was our first year with our kitten Finnley and we wanted to make our Christmas card allll about him and his adorable face! But getting him to stay still was a challenge. The solution? A box!

Step 1: Find a large box that your cat feels comfortable playing in. Get him/her comfortable with the empty box and even offer some treats to peek their interest.

Step 2: Find some cute decorations to put inside the box and arrange them however you’d like. I included some cat friendly ornaments that he could play with in hopes of a cute action shot.

Step 3: Place your kitty or entice them to enter the box with treats.

Step 4: RAPID FIRE! High shutter speeds and keep clicking ! It’s better to get more images than not enough.

Step 5: Have patience! It took quite a few tries to get the perfect photo, but trust me your hard work will pay off!

Step 6: Add some fun snow-like filters to your photo to make it look even more like Christmas!

Step 7: Pick your fav photos and send those cards!

PS you can even include some bloopers for a good laugh too 😂
